Currently it has 12 Companies in Africa, that include Ghana, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Malawi, Rwanda, Liberia, Senegal, Burkina Faso and Burundi but with distribution to many other countries. The Group has for years invested highly in research, innovation and training to ensure that the most modern and appropriate technologies for the African Bee are provided to the beekeepers in Africa. The group also completes the value chain by purchase, collection and processing all the bee products such as comb honey, propolis, royal Jelly, wax, sting venom and pollen from all the farmers to whom it supplies equipment and services which are then processed into high quality end products.
Over time, The Hive Group has come up with unique concepts to provide complete commercial beekeepers starter units of all required quality tools and services for sustainable bee products production and sustainability in bee keeping. The concepts are based on enhancing commercial and environmental sustainability in beekeeping with Return on Investment (ROI) achieved in less than a year and half.
What it entails
All the users of the technologies or products must undergo training and accept an after sales service which includes field visits by qualified and experienced apiarists. This ensures that the technologies are utilized effectively and efficiently to responsibly maximize returns. The entire Group is making concerted efforts with various Governments, Non-Governmental Organizations, R&D arms of private sector players and development institutions and other stakeholders on sensitizing the farmers about the overall importance of environmental conservation through efforts by the Group to promote reforestation, afforestation and agroforestry to improve vegetation cover, protect biodiversity as well as instill Good Agricultural Practices that are aligned to environmental conservation.

From its vast experience, recently The Group has designed and launched the most modern beehive called internationally the CAB Hive that is specifically designed for the African Bee. It has so far attracted a lot of interest in all of Africa and African beekeepers get commendable yields of 6 – 9 times honey harvest yielding in excess of 60Kgs per CAB Hive of honey annually.
